It is true that tax
planning may be legitimate provided it is withing the frameowrk
of the law. Colourable devices cannot be part of tax planning and
it is wrong to encourage or entertain the belief that it is honourable
to avoid the payment of tax by dubious method. It is obligation
of every citizen to pay the taxes honestly without resorting to
subterfuges. |

It
is utmost beneficial for a citizen of democratic country which
is committed to social welfare to organise his financial affairs
in such a manner to ensure falling in lines to economic policies
declared by the State. A citizen should pay the tax whenever
he is so required and should save the tax wherever so permitted
by the law. A citizen is not under burden to pay the maximum
tax rather permitted to pay minimum tax by availing and falling
in lines of economic and tax policies of the Government. In this
way he contributes to his nation and civilization.
